We’re excited to announce that our Word on the Street podcast has been shortlisted in the 2023 ALF Sales & Marketing Awards in the Best New Business Initiative category! Now in its second edition, the ALF Awards showcase the best teams in marketing and sales, the most compelling initiatives, the biggest turnarounds and rising stars.
Launched in July 2020, with Street’s founder Katie Street as ever-energetic host, Word on the Street’s aim was to help agencies break through the noise, attract attention, and win new business. And this we did! It wasn’t long until the podcast jumped into the top five of the UK Marketing Charts and consistently featured in the Top 100 Business Podcasts. It also managed to garner over 50 five-star reviews on Apple Podcasts.
118 episodes and more than 25,000 downloads later, Word on the Street is being put into well-earned retirement and going wherever podcasts go when they retire (this is a much-shrouded mystery, though some speculate it’s a place of flawless sound quality and guaranteed relief from um’s, coughs and other pesky noises). But fear not—Word on the Street’s big shoes are set to be filled by something we guarantee is going to be bigger, better and more podtastic than before, so watch this space in the coming weeks!
In the meantime, we’re super excited that Word on the Street is getting the send-off it deserves. The ALF Award winners will be announced on the evening of Wednesday, April 19th at a ceremony at The Brewery, London—we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed and glad rags on!
